Dark red in colour with intense hues. Very powerful, complex aromas of blueberry fruit, cherries and spice complemented by hints of oak. A blend of two regions and vineyards in Tasmania. The Derwent Valley produces deeply coloured Pinot Noir of rich intensity, brooding dark voluptuous styles that display dark cherry, strawberry fruit characters, mineral acidity, firm tannin structure and commensurate length of palate. Whilst fruit from the Cranbrook area is more blueberry, steely, yet perfumed, tannins can be gruff, but with superb length.
Enjoy this wine with cured meats and cheeses like a creamy brie, a blue and goats cheese accompanied with fruits like figs and cherries. Matches well with stuffed mushrooms and roasted heirloom vegetables, especially beetroot.
By taking a selection of cool climate regions where only the best parcels of fruit are selected, hand-picked, naturally fermented and placed in high quality French oak, the hallmarks of this outstanding wine are formed.
