Brilliant scarlet in colour with crimson hues. Intense aromatics of dark berry fruit with musk, black olive, choc mint, and violets with subtle vanillin and coffee oak spice tones. Layers of flavour evident, with intense red and black currant, cassis and mulberry, intermingled with touches of mint, chocolate, black olive, tobacco and subtle oak spice. The palate is pulled together by fine lingering tannin structure providing a wine of great balance and persistence.
Enjoy this wine with beef, venison or a grilled steak with salsa verde and braised red cabbage. Best served with mild to moderate cheeses.
