Deep crimson in colour with purple hues with a perfumed nose of violets, cassis, blackberry and hints of mint, olive and tobacco leaf. A Complex and elegant palate of sweet red and black berry fruit, dried herbs, mint and plums. Subtle notes of mint, mocha, and cigar box lead into a long finish with soft acid and fine velvety tannins.
Perfect with posemary-pepper beef rib with porcini jus and braised lamb shanks. Best served with mild to moderate cheeses.
Good vine canopies, moderate berry size and yields for Cabernet combined with a long cool finish to the growing season has resulted in a very strong Coonawarra vintage for Cabernet Sauvignon.
