Pale straw in colour with a bright yellow hue. A complex bouquet of lemon skin, white flesh peach, nougat, cream cheese with hints of oak char and spice. Moderate weight palate of white stone fruit flesh and lemon zest, intertwined with subtle flint and crème caramel texture.
Enjoy this chardonnay with seafood especially pan fried king george whiting fillets and fennel salad, prawn pizza, delicate chicken terrines, risottos and fresh spring vegetables.
2017 provided some cool relief from the trend towards hot, dry long summers with cool conditions and plentiful rains pushing well into summer. This gave vines ample time to ripen and develop flavour before sugar accumulated to high levels.
