Deep red in colour with a crimson edge. Rich tapestry of aromatics of sweet plum, mint & mulberry fruits with cloves & nutmeg spice adding interest. French oak maturation has resulted in subtle cedar wood notes. Densely flavoured palate showing sweet bright fruits of dark plum and ripe berry beautifully integrated with subtle oak spice and sweetness. Fine lingering tannin structure gives this wine great balance and persistence of flavour.
Great with dry-aged wagyu beef, a charred gruyere burger, mushroom pizza with tomato sauce, lamb steak with rosemary or some marinated ribeye steak. A terrific match for pungent or creamy cheeses or grilled portabello mushrooms with butter and garlic.
This wine displays lifted citrus and passionfruit aromas with delicate grassy flavours. This blend has a good level of complexity, with the acidity level leaving a clean, crisp finish.
